What was the best part about using AutoCAD?
AutoCAD is the most famous software for architectural planning and modelling both in 2D and 3D. Armed with plenty of features that are useful such as UI customization, AutoDesk which lets you share your projects and any other files online, commands and so on, it can hardly be said that it is a bad program. It is well deserving of being the most famous and most used architectural CAD program in my honest opinion. Besides that, the customer support has always been very good, fast and responsive, most of all, helpful.
What would you change about your experience with AutoCAD?
Not a lot of bad things that come to mind when looking at the AutoCAD since it s a very well made program that gets frequent enough updates with improvements to funcionality, spped and other things, but even so, it does have some issues here and there. The biggest one in my opinion is that it sometimes crashes without autosaving. Not too often, but sometimes I forget to save manually and that can set me back a few hours even. It is infuriating when that happens, but thankfully, it doesn't happen too often.
Overall Feedback
There is a reason why AutoCAD is the most famous and most used architectual software for both 2D and 3D projects. It is because it is the best at what it does. And rightfully so. Looking at all the features, the helpfullness of the customer support and everything else, I can not do anything but recommend the product wholeheartedly. Now, the price might be a bit of an issue for some people but, thankfully it isn't too bad, and certainly not bad enough for me to stop recommending the software to every architect out there that needs a product of this kind. They even give the older versions for free, so, you don't even need to pay for it, as long as you don't mind it being the older version.
