What was the best part about using Campaign Monitor?
Campaign Monitor is a comprehensive email marketing software solution for business which allows users to create personalized messages for subscribers. Campaign Monitor also provides analytics and reports to help measure performance of email campaigns. I liked the drag and drop technology which allows branded and personalized emails. The list manager enables subscriber segmentation based on filtered criteria. And campaigns can be automated to ensure subscribers receive messages at the optimal times during their day. The tools for reporting happen in real time and you can view email open rates, shares and comments about them as well. You can utilize the email content editor to design personalized, branded emails optimized to land in inboxes on mobile or computer devices. There's a selection of pre-made designs with layouts which are flexible ensuring designs can be customized and unique. The software drag and drop technology allows you to place images and text and align the formatting in your email easily. As well as dynamic content functionality to show specific content to specific subscribers. Segmentation of subscribers helps users reach out to targeted subscriber audiences using list management tools to provide this information for use with when sending email with webhooks, personalized content, message triggering. Send personalized content optimized for the best time they are likely to receive your message and convert the deal. You can also create segmentation filters for past campaign activities, user preferences, purchase history, geographic location and demographics.
Campaign automation works for you once set up; import subscribers or contact information or let the software run your campaign to new subscribers. The triggered messages feature will send emails to specific customers meet a certain criteria such as a membership expiration notification, or a thank you email. View email marketing campaign analytics to learn open rates, click rates, engagement and email shares. Email templates are mobile responsive for viewing on all mobile devices which is an important feature to note. There are currently over one hundred integrations for Campaign Monitor including: Wufoo, Unbounce, Enlist, MailSync, Facebook, Salesforce, Zapier and many more which was excellent. The dashboard is well laid out and intuitive to use. The basic setup learning curve will be minimal hopefully even if you're new to email marketing. The Canvas Builder component is a cool tool. And the ability to create segmented subscriber lists & email templates as well as split testing. The ability to use a branded and customizable template for clients is great. The pricing is very fair when considering they claim to allow unlimited emails. Though I am confident there would be a cap at some point especially with irresponsible email marketers. By all accounts the support is very good yet I haven't had a need to verify it's promptness or consistency myself.
What would you change about your experience with Campaign Monitor?
It seems you can't cancel a campaign while split testing. While I am sure support would help with this issue it would be a good DIY feature to add. The split testing analytics could be include broader analysis such as historical trends but other than that I found this to be a solid overall software.
Overall Feedback
Campaign Monitor had nice features, was intuitive to use with personalization, segmentation, reporting and customization options. It's possible to create a nice return on email marketing campaigns using their tools as long as the deliverability rates are consistently good. With great support I would recommend testing their paid service as it was one pf the more intuitive email software platforms I was able to test for our project.
