Hazard Reporting Solution focuses on basic and advanced hazard reporting tools. Risk management features track corrective actions and conduct investigations in the same powerful Issue Manager that is available in all the SMS solutions.

Risk Management Solution builds on Hazard Reporting Solution. Most significant to this solution is the Proactive Hazard Analysis Tool (PHAT) and the Hazard Register. A highly configurable Risk Assessment Tool, commonly known as FRAT or Flight Risk Assessment Tool is available. FRAT can be used for all types of operations, and not just Flight Ops.

Safety-Quality Assurance Solution builds on the Risk Management Solution. If you are really serious about complying with regulatory requirements, then this is the recommended solution. Besides great online and offline auditing tools, you will also gain access to more advanced charting and analytical tools.

Enterprise version has all modules. If your company has several sister companies, SMS Pro will give your company access to the Enterprise version at the price of the Safety-Quality Assurance Solution, provided all companies use the system.

What was the best part about using SMS Pro?

SMS Pro is the best aviation safety management software on the market. I evaluated almost all of them. Of those I was able to try or have a demo of them, SMS Pro was the only one that seemed to have the end user in mind and had a great set of tools for the price. I has a fast and intuitive event reporting and management system, incredible communication tools, and the best part, their support team. They are quick at responding to my needs, sometimes within minutes of my support request.

What would you change about your experience with SMS Pro?

The lack of a learning management system to tie in our training needs. But I have been informed by their support team that that is something that they are working on and that it may be on the way this year, which would easily push my review from four to five stars.

Overall Feedback

If a fast, reliable SMS Solution is what you are looking for, SMS Pro is the tool you need. Between the communication tools, safety assurance tools, and the event management tools I can't think of another solution I would recommend more. SMS Pro is a great tool for all employees and will help your safety culture evolve

What was the best part about using SMS Pro?

We looked at all the SMS products. We liked that we were not pushed into buying. I hate it when sales people keep bugging me after I express interest. My biggest fear was that if we chose SMS Pro, we would be stuck with it for a long time. If it proved to be the wrong solution, I would look bad. The reviews are correct on their site: http://www.asms-pro.com/Reviews.aspx Our work flows were not exactly like the SMS Pro work flow, but the system was so flexible that the software adapted to our flight ops and maintenance operations.

What would you change about your experience with SMS Pro?

If there were more operational pieces, such as HR, I think the system would be better. Yeah, I know it is an aviation SMS software solution, but there is considerable potential for it to be more. When we started, they didn't have offline apps, but I see they now have offline auditing and issue reporting. Also, I wish all of their training videos were on YouTube and not on their server. Our security doesn't allow us to watch all their training videos, which are very useful

Overall Feedback

This product keeps getting better. The SMS Pro support team is very friendly and effiecient. What I REALLY like is that their support is done by software developers and not phone support people in India. Their modules are not outsourced, and when something needs changing, we feel our feedback matters We looked at all the solutions and this is the best.

What was the best part about using SMS Pro?

Definitely their hazard reporting tools, the data analysis and KPI functionalities, auditing tools, and risk management tools. These tools are extremely easy to use (much more than my previous SMS software provider) and offer some nice abilities to configure how I want. Also, the coders at SMS Pro were able to give my organization some special customization options that have been extremely useful.

What would you change about your experience with SMS Pro?

There are quite a few extra features beyond the KPI, hazard reporting, and risk management tools, and learning how to use them was confusing at times, and not always intuitive. I realize they are in the process of updating their "help" videos for all of their modules, but for the modules that still featured old help videos, I sometimes had to learn how to use those modules more or less on my own. Of course, now that I'm comfortable with most areas of the software this isn't as big a deal anymore - but that has been the "worst" part about using it thus far.

Mid size Canadian service provider who switched over to SMS Pro from another SMS software company in 2015. So far I have been very pleased with the product. I get the feeling after having used SMS Pro for almost a year now that their team has a pretty good idea about efficient ways to manage SMS bureaucratic processes. Especially with my biggest concerns - like managing/reporting hazards, KPI data, and audits - this software really shines. I look forward to when they have updated all of their training materials, as sometimes I think I am under using all of the tools. After talking with him, the owner is pretty hardcore about building healthy safety programs, which is good to know. Great price for how robust the software. Suites my program's needs. Overall, extremely happy.
