The ability to use existing email templates, customize them and create your own for re-use in a team sales environment is powerful. The scheduling, merge, reminder and follow up functionality are also very useful. Integrations with Gmail and Outlook is a key feature. I used this software with Gmail successfully to track when someone opened my emails, the frequency of reading my emails, and who they shared my email with. It helps provide a transactional history if you need to cite it or suggest when they clicked on it. The ability to engage in team data and assimilate best practices from multiple users and email campaigns is also powerful. The support was great when I dealt with Yesware directly. Very helpful.
What would you change about your experience with Yesware?
I used Yesware in with an outbound cold calling campaign to track follow up track emails. There was a small learning curve but overall was quite easy to setup. Though I had to create a custom tutorial for team members to follow exactly what I did. Perhaps a macro workflow type of setting would be useful. Though that may take away from the specialization of what Yesware does best and that's tracking.
Small lag between email sending appearing in 'email sent' tab. History of email sent could be extended. Reminder and follow up system could be enhanced compared to similar systems. I was able to integrate PipeDrive CRM seamlessly but I've read account where certain CRM's did not integrate well.
Overall Feedback
It's very intuitive to learn and implement with Gmail, and I'm assuming Outlook. Our inside sales team and I gained important insight regarding who, when and how often our follow up emails were being read and contacted the best leads at optimal times using this data. It's been a year since I was researching email tracking so I'm interested what's happened since and whether I would still choose Yesware as my paid subscription but based on my current knowledge it is well worth the money considering the value you get.
It was interesting to learn which prospects prefer phone or email based on the whole process. Everyone was a bit different but the overall data helped us tremendously target our audience directly.
